Foundational genetics – important clarification
Labrador colors are controlled by two loci:
- E locus (E/e)
- ee = yellow (black/chocolate pigment suppressed)
- ee = yellow (black/chocolate pigment suppressed)
- B locus (B/b)
- B = black pigment
- bb = chocolate pigment
- B = black pigment
Correct phenotypes:
